BA Games Design at the University Centre Grimsby, What you will study

Fundamentally, the BA Games Design degree at the University Centre Grimsby is about making games product. The structure has been created with direct input from industry. We asked top gaming executives “When you are hiring new people, what kind of people and skills are you looking for?”.
The answers we received and the methodologies discussed have been fed directly into the structre of the BA Games Design degree at the University Centre Grimsby. Each module has been carefully constructed and placed within a structure to ensure that the core skills are then built upon. At the same time students are encouraged to work together on game production. The BA Games Design degree at the University Centre Grimsby is where students learn how to develop, produce and publish their own games.

The first year is the building of the game designers toolkit.

Making their own choices on platform, students will work on a concept to completion notion of games development. Further to this, work based placements (subject to availability) will see the students putting their skills into effect in the workplace. The written study will demonstrate the students full grasp of the production, development and academic principals that they have learned and practiced.
